Criminal Defense
We defend people in Massachusetts District Courts charged with misdemeanors and felonies. We represent those charged with drunk driving (DUI/DWI), motor vehicle offenses, drug offenses, assault and battery, restraining orders and violations, domestic violence, theft, and identity crimes. We conduct a thorough examination of the facts, evidence and circumstances in your case and can use private investigators to build your defense when needed. We also handle arraignment, bail and dangerousness hearings. See our criminal defense page for more information.
Juvenile Delinquency
We work closely with minors, and their parents and/or guardians, when they have been charged with delinquency. We will find solutions to avoid DYS custody and that promote the long-term interests of your child. We provide aggressive and effective advocacy at trial, dispositions and probation hearings. Our goal is to resolve juvenile matters, in most cases, without a trial. To learn more, see our page on juvenile law.
Probation and Parole Violations
We can protect the rights of individuals who have been charged with probation or parole violations. We represent people from arraignment and detention hearings through surrender and resentencing. For additional information, go to our page on probation and parole matters.
Educational and Mental Health Advocacy
We represent students with special needs, ensuring that they have access to programs to which they are entitled. We ensure that students are not punished for behavior that is a manifestation of a disability. We also advocate for and protect the rights of individuals with mental health challenges. We are experienced in civil commitment proceedings and can work to get criminal charges dismissed when a person faces mental health challenges. For more information, visit our page on educational and mental health advocacy.
Restraining Orders
We defend individuals at restraining order hearings to avoid their issuance or in order to minimize their duration and consequences. We also defend individuals who have been charged with violating a restraining order.
Consumer Demand Letters
We also handle your consumer claim and act as your effective negotiator for contracts, defective products and services, deceptive business practices and Lemon Law claims.
Bail and Dangerousness Hearings
We can keep you from being held on excessive bail, or to obtain your release under the Massachusetts Dangerousness Statute if the court, after a hearing finds you dangerous, under appropriate and achievable conditions.
